Summer teen trends

This summer has been filled with fabulous fashion and comebacks from past eras. This just shows you should never throw your clothes away as in years to come they could be on the catwalks filtering down to the high street, with more wearable pieces, some are loved some are hated. One of my favourite parts of history in fashion is the 90’s , although it was only 30 years ago the style went out of fashion however now it is vintage and a pair of flairs and a shoulder bag is the thing to wear with a cute tank top. I recommend Brandy Melville as they are great value and well made. Although they have a one size policy which I do not agree with their values I love their clothes and the aesthetic they put out. Many more people from the UK are wearing Brandy now and that style of clothes.

Every time I walk out the house now you would not catch me without my pink headband, it goes with everything in my wardrobe and makes my look more polished and put together. It adds an accent of pink to every outfit which I like to call a little touch a pink. I think everybody has a signature colour with just makes you feel happier and more confident if you wear it almost like you signature perfume sent it is how you like to recognise yourself, and well pink is mine!!!!

I see bucket hats everywhere I go, you might love them or hate them like marmite I guess, but I have not purchased one yet, I could not resit writing about them as they bring childhood memories back, once I stopped wearing my bucket hat when I was about 7 as I felt uncool, it funny how things come back into fashion.

Flares have been one of my favourite I wear them all the time and love them so much, Urban Outfitters and Topshop do really good ones, they are so comfy and trendy, such a flattering shape as well.

How to be stylish in quarantine

If you wear pyjamas every day it is not good for you because it makes you less productive. It is the best feeling when you put a nice outfit on even if nobody can see it because we are in lock down. If you are in joggers and hoodies 24/7 it will lower your self esteem and you will make yourself feel less respectable. Even if you just wear a cute top and some jeans. I promise this will make you feel better and work harder.

Even go to the lengths of wearing jewellery as overall you will feel ready to go and you will have a better mindset. Whereas if you were in you pyjamas you just want to go back to bed- or at least that is how I find it. Doing you hair makes you feel fresh and pampered it always makes me feel better when I have a headband or a hair clip in rather than a messy bun.

Waking up and getting ready is vital to your day, you could wear skirts and a polo , jeans and a blouses or a T-shirt for a more causal look you don’t have to be all fancy you just have to feel fresh and ready for the day ahead. I hope this helped.

mothers day

Mothers day is a day of giving and love to celebrate everything they do for us. theses are just a few ideas which range in prices to help you find that perfect gift for your mothers, mummies and mums what ever you call them to celebrate them.

  1. A lovely idea is a plate with handprints on it this is especually touching when your children and infants as it is a memery of there growth through the years. I personallly have made one when I was youger and it was a wondergful gift.
  2. Another idea is a hamper with your mothers favourite food in for example lemon curd, Jams, biscuits, chocolates, gin, tonic (fever tree) , champagne or you could do a pamper hamper with a face mask and slippers, a candle ( the white company do amazing ones), shower gel, body lotion and bath bombs.
  3. If you are wanting a slightly less expensive option you could make something hamade like a Victoria sandwich or a lemon drizzle any baked good would put a smile on anyone’s face .
  4. If you love art or sewing then you could draw a picture of your family or your mummy with you, you could even make her a headband or a washbag if you wanted to be very creative.
  5. My last idea is a photo frame which you can get from Ikea for Β£20, this photo frame has 15 slots so you can choose your favourite phots to display of family memories. However if you do not have an Ikea near you Wilkinson (Wilko) have a wide selection of photo frames.

What i’m thinking

This blog will explore my thoughts on fashion, life and the world around us.

Be yourself; Everyone else is already taken.

β€” Oscar Wilde.

Over the next few months and years, I’m going to be sharing my thoughts on the world in which we live. Some of this will be in the area of fashion, but i’ll also begin to share my thoughts on life and the world around us.

Never before has the world faced such enormous challenges. We need to look after our planet and we need to ensure we pass it on to the next generation in better condition than when we inherited it.

So, some of the thoughts may appear a little random, but overall they will hopefully make some sense and show the way we live and interact with our earth.

I’m Arabella

My name is Arabella and I’m from Berkshire in the UK. This blog isn’t about me though, it’s about my thinking and what I see around the world in my daily life.

I’m not going to publish posts every day, I may not even post every week, but when I see something that matters to me, I’ll share it on here. I’m not going to claim that my writing is going to be grammatically perfect and I’ll probably misspell a few things along the way. If you care about that too much, then maybe this blog isn’t for you. If you’re okay with it, then please read on, as my opinion is one of my generation and we’re inheriting the earth after you lot have left it, so we’re next up and our opinion matters.

Why should you care?

  • Our generation is growing up differently to any that have come before us. We care about things that are different from our parents and we’re living differently.
  • It’s not wrong or right, it’s just different and if you want to understand us, you maybe should have a read of this.

So, let’s get going and see where this blog takes us.

Any comments and constructive criticism is welcome.
